EU Exit Amendment Regulations

The Feed-in Tariffs and Contracts for Difference (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2018 (SI 2018 No. 1092) are made in exercise of the powers conferred by section 8(1) of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 (c. 16) in order to address failures of retained EU law to operate effectively and other deficiencies arising from the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union.

The Electricity (Guarantees of Origin of Electricity Produced from Renewable Energy Sources) (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2018 (SI 2018 No. 1093) are made in exercise of the powers conferred the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 (c. 16). They amend the Electricity (Guarantees of Origin of Electricity Produced from Renewable Energy Sources) Regulations 2003 (SI 2003 No. 2562) and the Electricity (Guarantees of Origin of Electricity Produced from Renewable Energy Sources) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2003 (SR 2003 No. 470) (together, the “GOO Regulations”) to address failures of the GOO Regulations to operate effectively and other deficiencies arising from the United Kingdom’s withdrawal from the European Union.
