Flood Resilience in the North West
Our North West webinar session looked at flood resilient management with Jane Phillips from the Environment Agency who outlined their resilience-based approach to flood risk and their work with Flood Action Groups across the North West.
We were also joined by Christina Worsley from The Flood Hub, who introduced the resources and assistance available to promote Flood Resilience and their online platform and Sarah Demetriou from Arcadis’ Water Management and Resilience team presented on how flood modelling was used to understand existing and future flood risk as part of the A66 Trans-Pennine Project.
Lastly, Jo Bradley from Stormwater Shepherds presented on some of the potential mitigation measures available to businesses and construction, such as SUDS and how they can also benefit water quality.
This webinar will be of particular interest to any business or construction project subject to potential flooding risk and anyone else who has an interest in this topic.

This month's EIA Quality Mark webinar will address how effects on the water environment should be taken into account in EIA. Scheme registrants, including Environ, will highlight the types of impacts that can occur from development, the legislative context that must be applied and how this can be effectively wrapped up within the wider context of an Environmental Statement.
