Our East of England and Milton Keynes Regional coffee morning, welcomed guest speaker Alan Tinline Head of Environment at Associate British Ports (ABP) who explained how they are responding to the challenge of building back better, post Covid-19, in order to create a more sustainable and zero carbon business.
Alan also discussed how they are incorporating innovative and practical steps into the company approach to building a more sustainable business in line with being zero carbon by 2050.
This is the second digital event for members in the East of England area, but this is open to members from other Regions too.

South West: Sustainable Wines Of Great Britain
This special IEMA event was hosted by the South West regional network and looked at sustainable wines in the UK.
In this webinar, we highlighted some of the key challenges in construction, measures that are being implemented across large scale construction projects; and highlight what effective mitigation looks like. The session profiled the role of innovation, presenting leading case studies with transferable learning points.
Our East of England event heard from the Environment Agency who provided an update of their East Anglian activities focusing on regulated and non-regulated business. They also gave an overview of the EAs work as a whole and the opportunities that a EU exit and post-Covid-19 pandemic world may allow for this Area in terms of environmental improvement.
This webinar moved the focus away from the typical ‘headline grabbers’ in marine development and considered some of the more unusual marine development which takes place around our UK coastline.
Our Yorkshire and Humberside regional event explored the impact that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on the environment, attitudes towards public transport and ways in which public transport operators are responding to the crisis, one year on.
