How To: Become a Practitioner – Learning Outcome 6 – Innovative and Leading Practices

This webinar makes up part of our How To: Become a Practitioner series. These webinars are aimed at members looking to take the next step in their membership journey and achieve Practitioner membership status, and at our existing practitioner members wanting to equip themselves with ongoing skills and insight, allowing them to meet their sustainability goals. Created and delivered by IEMA approved tutors, each webinar in the series covers the knowledge requirements for the 13 learning outcomes that make up our Practitioner standard. This webinar was delivered by Uche Okere and looked into the IEMA Learning Outcome 6: Innovative and Leading Practices.

In this webinar, Uche covered approaches to innovative thinking, and through a range of examples and case studies, explored the importance of innovation in developing sustainable products and providing sustainable solutions. The role sustainability professionals play in driving sustainability change within organisations through innovative thinking will also be discussed.

This webinar accounts for 1 hour of CPD.

Dr Keith Whitehead

Keith has a PhD in Environmental Pollution from Imperial College London. Since graduating, he has worked for over 20 years as a senior environmental consultant, auditor, IEMA registered trainer and university lecturer, both in the UK and internationally and across multiple sectors. He is also the author of the internationally recognised Five Star Environmental and Sustainability audit and Globe of Honour Award and regularly contributes to EHS publications. Keith actively contributes to sustainability charities and is currently an IEMA mentor, and previously an IEMA examination marker.
