IEMA is partnering with Content With Purpose (CWP) to produce a digital series exploring the strides that organisations across industries are taking to implement and execute sustainability strategies, prioritise ESG, harness education and green skills, and turn words into action to protect our planet.
Following stark warnings from the IPCC on the worst-case climate scenarios, and a series of unprecedented, extreme weather events in recent months, a spotlight shines on the world of business to urgently seize the opportunity to secure a sustainable future for all.
Across every industry, organisations of all sizes are pledging to reduce their emissions and committing to net zero targets, but more must be done to educate, empower and support them to take the steps needed to set and reach these goals.
Those leading the charge are paving the way for a positive shift that reverberates through supply chains, to employees, competitors, customers, society, and ultimately, for our world and generations to follow.
Through a range of insightful interviews and short films, ‘Transforming the World to Sustainability’ will shine a light on inspiring organisations and individuals steering meaningful progress in sustainability. It will meet leaders and innovators in adaptation and mitigation, with stories exploring decarbonisation, circularity, waste reduction, research, training & green skills, sustainable finance, BNG, ED&I, and new technologies, among other efforts helping to turn net zero plans into reality. It will provide a platform for the exchange of ideas and best practice, whilst raising awareness and inspiring the next generation.
Transforming the World to Sustainability will launch at an event in London, February 2024. It will then be promoted through an extensive digital marketing and communications campaign, with tailored content for specific audiences including IEMA members, wider environment and sustainability professionals, business leaders, policymakers, educators, and young people.
Martin Baxter, Director of Policy & External Affairs at IEMA, said: “We need to take immediate action in combatting the climate crisis and to do so immediately. Sustainability must be at the very forefront of decision-making and action across industries, across organisations, and across departments. We are excited to develop this series with CWP, to highlight those who are pioneering progress, and inspire others to follow.”
Max Smith, Founder & Managing Director, CWP, said: “We’ve been fortunate to explore innovation in sustainability across sectors through the content we create, but we want to make this series with IEMA, a global leader in sustainability, because we know there’s more that business professionals can do to embrace action for a livable future. There is a wealth of tools and services out there to help drive a sustainable future, and we hope this series will serve to educate and inspire the business community.”
This is the next chapter of IEMA’s partnership with CWP, following a collaboration to produce a video series for the Green Careers Hub showcasing green skills, jobs and careers.
CWP is a strategic content creator that works in partnership with leading member bodies and associations; engaging professionals on their industries' contribution to solving the climate and ecological crisis.
