Insurers call for action on adaptation.

The Association of British Insurers (ABI) has launched a new research report on climate change, flood risk, new building developments and insurance. ABI recommends that new developments need to take account of the different environment they will experience over their lifetime, in particular increases in flood risk. The report says that insurers want flood risk managed by changes in design, planning and investment policy, to help ensure that they can continue to offer affordable insurance.
