The European Commission has launched an online public consultation to better understand the detailed views of stakeholders on the different building blocks of the Bali Road Map that would enable the world to limit global warming to no more than 2?C above pre-industrial temperatures and that is based on the key principle of common but differentiated responsibilities and respective capabilities. The consultation will gather views on a number of issues, including: the shared vision for the 21st century development, mitigation commitments by developed countries, mitigation actions by developing countries, carbon markets, carbon leakage, sectoral approaches, emissions from international air and maritime transport, emissions from deforestation and forest degradation, adaptation needs and support for the most vulnerable countries, technology cooperation, finance and investment, and compliance and enforcement of the new agreement.
