Waste Strategy for England 2007 Published

Amid a flurry of Government publications Defra last week released the�Waste Strategy for England 2007'. The Strategy emphasises more effectiveincentives for individuals and businesses to recycle waste; a greaterresponsibility on businesses for the environmental impact of their productsand operations; and strong emphasis on waste prevention. The Strategy alsooutlines action the Government proposes for its own estate � a 25 per centreduction in waste by 2020 and 75 per cent of waste recycled by 2020.
