British Government Not Meeting Its Own Sustainability Goals

The government is failing to meet key sustainability targets while lecturing others on climate change a watchdog has claimed. A report published by the Sustainable Development Commission (SDC) has found that targets on carbon waste and water have all been missed by Whitehall departments.The findings came two days after environment secretary David Miliband launched a sustainable procurement action plan and called for government to do more and practise what we preach in terms of tackling climate change.
