Bovis Lend Lease wins community contract

Bovis Lend Lease has secured a $330 million contract with GPT Group to design and construct a mixed-use community development in north-west Sydney.Bovis - a construction arm of Lend Lease - said work has already commenced on the 10-hectare Rouse Hill Town Centre which GPT is developing at a cost of $470 million.
We are very pleased to extend our working relationship with the GPT Group on this significant project Bovis Lend Lease Asia Pacific chief executive Murray Coleman said.
We see it as an opportunity to continue to leverage our skills in design and sustainability for the benefit of our clients he said.
Bovis said it had worked closely with GPT's in-house sustainability and operations teams to deliver sustainable design that would achieve significant improvements in operational efficiency including energy and water consumption.
The mixed-use development comprises 65000 square metres of retail space with more than 200 specialty stores a library learning centre and residential apartments. The town centre is a joint-venture between The GPT Group and Lend Lease in conjunction with Landcom and the NSW Department of Planning who have been developing the site for over two years.
