It will also help set CBI priorities for lobbying on waste issues for some time to come as well as forming the policy base for response to DEFRA actions arising from the review and coming EU initiatives; for example those under IPP, EuP, and the revision of the Waste Framework Directive. The working group will report to the existing Environmental Affairs Committee and will be chaired by Mr Jonathan Mead of Dow Corning.
