How To: Make Sustainability a Habit

In this webinar, Peter Caddock applied his own personal experience to the framework to share how everyone can use the Stephen Covey 7 Habits of Highly Effective People Personal Leadership Framework model.

 

This session is ideal for those early on in their career to consider the habits they can adopt to make a real impact to the sustainability agenda within their organisations.

• An overview of the MOD/SDA and the steps they are taking including the link of Climate Change & Security

• Habits and behaviours

• The 7 habits programme

• A run through of each habit but looking at it through a 'green lens'

• Summary of the 7 habits programme presented together

Peter Caddock, Project Director - Sustainability, Turner and Townsend

Peter joined the Ministry of Defence's Submarine Delivery Agency (SDA) in November 2018 as Environmental Lead following a career of 25 years in the Environmental Sustainability arena. He has previously worked for KBR, gaining cross-sectoral experience in major programmes across Oil & Gas, Rail, Power, Civils and Defence sectors and has also held senior roles as Regional Director for WSP and Head of Environment for AWE. Peter is a fellow of IEMA where he sits on their Climate Change Steering Group and describes himself as a generalist within the field having gained a wide range of experience including ISO 14001 implementation, Sustainable Procurement, Environmental Impact Assessment, Waste Minimisation, Carbon Management and Environmental Auditing. Peter is passionate about the topic of sustainability and believes the holy trinity of leadership, collaboration and innovation are key to unlocking the transition to sustainability!
