IEMA responds to House of Lords Built Environment Committee report

In response to a report from the House of Lords Built Environment Committee titled 'The impact of environmental regulations on development' Sarah Mukherjee MBE CEO at IEMA said:

“We welcome the committee’s report and its findings.

On the biodiversity net gain (BNG) aspect we agree with observations in the report that information and guidance for developers to implement the new requirements has not always been delivered at speed and has lacked clarity.

This was a point that we made in our evidence to the inquiry and it must be rectified if the new BNG regime in England is to be as successful as we would all like it to be.”
