Unprecedented demand for Net Zero training courses
IEMA the Professional body for everyone working in environment and sustainability today announce 2 new training courses – pathways to net-zero and introduction to net zero.
IEMA recognises the ongoing urgent need for more Green Skills to face the climate emergency and reach net-zero by 2050 and these new courses are designed to equip professionals from entry-level through to those more experienced already in the fields of environment and sustainability.
We are in a Climate and Environmental Emergency that is increasing in severity with each passing day. For us to keep within the 1.5-degree Celsius global warming target and commitments in the Paris Climate Agreement global carbon emissions must reach net zero by 2050 and with reductions needed at pace (this decade).
IEMA's CEO Sarah Mukherjee MBE says
I'm delighted that we have been able to work with our training partners Astutis and Make UK on two Net Zero courses new to IEMA today. These have been created in order to prepare every professional and help each organisation upskill their workforce to make all jobs greener as we strive to meet the net-zero targets for 2050.
Action is required at all levels for us to meet this target from Government through to the individual. These dedicated IEMA courses provide insights and guidance on Net Zero resources to support you and case studies of IEMA members' work. Course details can be found below and on our website here.
