Phil is an Independent consultant with 20 years of experience in Environmental and Social Assessment, primarily for large infrastructure projects. He has worked across a range of sectors including Water, Waste, Energy, Transportation, and Urban Regeneration. He spent much of his career with multinational consultancies working mainly across Europe, the CIS and Africa and held Mott MacDonald’s “Global Practice Leader” role for Environmental Impact Assessment for several years.
He has worked for both lenders and sponsors on deals ranging from small investments to improve existing operations to “megaprojects” with finance in excess of 1bn €. Through his career Phil has been actively engaged with a range of professional bodies including this GESA group, with the aim of improving and enhancing the positive sustainability outcomes that Impact Assessment has on project design and execution.
