Independent Consultant

Daniel is an independent consultant working in the fields of governance, risk, and assurance. His first degree was in law before qualifying across corporate governance, SHEQ, and consulting. Daniel’s early career involved middle and senior management SHEQ roles within the facility management sector, with a specialism in commercial leisure; having also worked part-time as an archivist, supporting research projects, and in course development.

Daniel is currently working in the commercial team at BSI, with a focus on delivering the strategy around enterprise solutions within the academy business. A key part of his work is supporting clients to deliver sustainability and resilience programmes. Daniel has recently spent 18 months teaching ISO 14001 alongside six other standards across Europe and the Middle East. Most of his work outside BSI is research and advisory in nature.

He sits on several board committees at membership organisations across audit, risk, policy, and standard development. Outside of work, Daniel is finishing a PhD in health sciences and the academic training for the English Bar.
