A resounding yes to C.Env

There was a resounding "yes" vote to the polling question, "Would you like to be a Chartered Environmentalist?" which appeared on the home page of IEMAdotnet over the last few weeks. 666 votes were cast of which 87% were in favour, 4% were against, and 9% felt they needed more information.

After a lengthy and in-depth selection process, Computer Software Ltd has been chosen to supply their 'Integra' database product. Computer Software Ltd has had over 15 years experience in database implementation and has provided systems for well known blue chip companies, in addition to other professional bodies and membership institutes.

Final Call to Students

The deadline for entry into the IEMA Student Essay Awards, sponsored by Bell College, is just a couple of weeks away. If you are a student and have recently written an essay relating to sustainable development then you could win yourself 800 plus a free training course, free attendance, free attendance at the IEMA Annual Conference and your essay published in ‘the environmentalist’ magazine. The deadline for entries is 28th February 2003. Would you like to become a Chartered Environmentalist?

The Society for the Environment was launched in October 2002, the IEMA is one of the ten founding bodies. The Society's next major milestone is the submission of a petition to the Privy Council for incorporation by Royal Charter and a new qualification, Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv). Preliminary discussions have already taken place with the Privy Council and the Society is aiming to complete the application process by the end of 2003. Simply click on the link 'Join Now' or 'Subscribe to Magazine' and you will be taken to a secure area of our site where you will be asked to enter your details.
