Working closely with the rest of the Carbon Management and Reporting Team, the role holder will be responsible for:

  • Supporting clients with their Carbon Accounting journey through our centralised platform
  • Providing support on a wide range of energy and carbon legislative and global reporting requirements, such as SECR, CSRD UK and EU ETS, and ASRS
  • Focus on data analytics and management to feed into our client's carbon accounting strategies and decarbonization projects.
  • Assembling and validating energy data for legislative compliance and carbon footprint reporting
  • Preparing and presenting formal performance reporting to clients
  • Carrying out internal auditing of data and compliance and support with assurance activities
  • Supporting Service Delivery and Commercial teams within World Kinect as a Subject Matter Expert
  • Managing delivery of all associated workstreams and customer expectations

PERSON SPECIFICATION (BACKGROUND AND SKILLS):
  • Minimum 5 years of experience of carbon accounting and carbon management
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher, in a relevant discipline
  • Knowledge of global carbon reporting standard and regulatory requirements
  • Solid understanding of carbon accounting methodologies
  • Proven customer-facing experience working with complex carbon concepts
  • Experience in compliance reporting for UK SECR and UK ETS
  • Familiarity with other international reporting frameworks such as CDP, GRI, SBTI etc is advantageous
  • Solid numeracy skills, confidence in working with large data sets and advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent English and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Confident relationship-builder
  • Excellent client management and project management skills
  • Enjoy speaking with customers, strong social skills
