Assistant Environmental Consultant, SOCOTEC, Coventry
To support our ambitious growth plans, we have a great opportunity to join our Environment and Safety Division. SOCOTEC provides a comprehensive range of environmental monitoring and consultancy services to help companies fulfil their legal obligations and to comply with environmental regulations. Our expert field teams provide national coverage and tailored services including site investigation, sampling and analysis, monitoring, interpretation and consultancy. Our qualified and highly talented field consultants provide environmental analysis, environmental monitoring and consultancy services to assist clients in complying with legislation.
We're looking for an Assistant Environmental Scientist/Consultant to join our environmental consultancy team working on contaminated land and waste and environmental management projects across a range of sectors. Typical activities for the role include:

- supervision of ground investigation and remediation
- environmental monitoring
- factual and interpretative reporting across a range of technical disciplines

- a relevant scientific or environmental degree
- a full current UK driving licence
- good communication skills and a strong customer-focussed engagement style
- good data handling skills and strong attention to detail
- good commercial awareness
- excellent IT skills including MS Office applications
- willingness to travel across the UK and stay away from home for project work
