What We're Looking For
We are looking for passionate Senior Sustainability & Carbon Consultant with at least 5 years' experience, to join our growing sustainability team. We are looking for someone with skills and experience in Whole Life Carbon Appraisal, Circular Economy Strategies and Net Zero Strategies for new development projects including buildings and masterplans. Ideally the candidate will have experience of:
- Leading whole life assessments in accordance with RICS and GLA Policy Guidance
- Leading circular economy strategy development and reporting against industry recognisable frameworks including GLA policy guidance
- Gathering and organising data, conducting analysis, forming key insights and recommendations and developing strategies to reduce impacts.
- Developing strategies to reduce carbon and material impacts of development.
- Building support for proposals with key stakeholders and Reporting outputs in clear ways
- Engaging with design teams, clients and stakeholders to build support for proposals.
Professional qualifications and core knowledge
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in environment, sustainability, engineering, or related discipline
- Technical knowledge and experience in Whole Life Cycle Reporting and Circular economy strategies
- Interest in operational energy and net zero strategies,
- Knowledge of policies and emerging solutions for carbon, energy and the circular
- A wider grounding in environmental and social sustainability themes
- Chartered with a professional body or actively working towards Chartership
Consultancy skills
- Ability to communicate effectively to stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent organisation and project management skills
- Strong analytical and research skills and associated analytical tools
- Delivery of high-quality technical advice, reports, case studies, presentations and training materials, etc.
- Client facing skills including expert advice during meetings and business development
- Take a thoughtful approach to their work and embrace creative approaches to delivery
- Experience in understanding opportunities in relation to net zero
- Ability to identify co-benefits and articulate the business case for action on carbon
