Job Description

To be responsible for leading the management of environmental and social (“E&S”) studies for Projects across Masdar’s portfolio, including supervising and managing consultants in the preparation of ESIAs, LRPs/RAPs, SEPs and BAPs, and providing supporting services for E&S compliance and performance aspects during project delivery and asset management.

The candidate shall focus his/her support initially on the E&S studies of the Guzar PV Project (Uzbekistan) and also support other Masdar projects across different regions, including but not limited to CIS, MENA region, Asia-Pacific, Europe and sub-saharan Africa.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced E&S expert to join our multidisciplinary team in Masdar’s HQ in Abu Dhabi or, alternatively, Uzbekistan.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Biology, Social Sciences, or equivalent. Preferred Experience:

• 8-10 years of experience in the E&S field including 3 years of experience in Internationally Funded Projects in emerging markets (WB/IFC, EBRD, ADB) or equivalent experience.
• Experience working as a consultant and/or on the client or lender side of internationally funded infrastructure projects.
• Work experience in the renewable energy sector is an asset.
