Regulation (EU) No 517/2014 revokes and replaces the F-gas Regulation (EC) No 842/2006. As per the previous Regulation, this legislation imposes requirements on the supply, use, storage, recovery and destruction of fluorinated greenhouse gases.
The F-gas regime is extended to include other gases containing fluorine with a global warming potential and further equipment, including refrigerated vehicles, are brought into scope. The directive phases out a number of products containing F-gases and gives a timetable for this phase out.
