Enters into force - 3 May 2017

Engine manufacturers must test certain engines for non-road machinery under in-service conditions as part of the type approval process. Regulation (EU) 2017/656 provides templates for type-approval documents and emissions testing for internal combustion engines in non-road mobile machinery. Requirements are also set on engine marking.
