The Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment (IEMA) has established a new, commercial arm to work in partnership with training providers and employers. The new legal entity, IEMA Sustainability Training Solutions (ISTS), will drive up quality and grow the market for environment and sustainability skills training. ISTS has an opening for a quality and/ or training professional who has the ability to lead and maintain relationships and high standards across our multiple training centres.
Learning Manager - £35,000 pa (plus benefits package)
A central part of this new Learning Manager role will be to support and aid the development of ISTS’s partnerships with our training providers and ensure that employers have access to quality training for both their environment and sustainability professionals and their wider workforces. The successful candidate will be required to undertake the regular quality assessment of training centres and the courses they provide. The knowledge and capacity to provide constructive and developmental feedback through the assessments is absolutely vital to this role. The candidate will also be required to undertake environment and sustainability skills needs analysis for employers and package solutions to meet their needs. Most crucial is the ambition and ability to aid the uptake and recognition of IEMA’s standards and qualifications across the globe.
This is a pivotal role in IEMA and ISTS's future plans, so we are seeking an experienced candidate; someone with an appropriate Teaching/Training/Assessing/QA qualification and preferably, though not essentially, experience of working in an environmental role and/ or within the training marketplace. You will be representing ISTS across a number of existing and new relationships so you’ll need to be a self-starter able to work to objectives with great interpersonal and communication skills , familiar with CRM and Microsoft applications, who has proven experience of working with a number of third parties.
