Our policy on returns
If you are unhappy with your purchase, you can return it unopened (with any
seals and packaging intact) in its original condition within 30 days of the
date you received the item and we will issue a full refund for the price you
paid for the item.
This excludes all BSI Standards as these are made to order so therefore are not eligible for a refund.
We can only accept the return of opened items if they are
faulty. To return items follow the instructions below:
- fill out the back of the delivery slip, giving the reason for the return.
Please include your order number;
- if you do not have the original delivery slip, please send us a note detailing
the reason for return. The note MUST include your order number, which you
will be able to find;
- in the case of a faulty product, please provide a full description of the
fault in the space provided on the delivery slip;
- wrap the item securely in its original packaging (if any) with any other
associated documentation; and then
- send the package to: Publishing, The Institute of Environmental Management
and Assessment, Saracen House, Crusader Road, City Office Park, Tritton Road, Lincoln, LN6 7AS, England.
We will notify you via e-mail when we have processed your refund. For your
protection we recommend that you use a recorded-delivery service.
We are unable to accept the return of electronic publications once downloading
has commenced.
Returning faulty items
You have the right to return a faulty item within a reasonable period of time.
Please keep all information that accompanies your item as this will be needed
should there be a fault. We will be happy to refund the delivery charges incurred
in sending the item to you and your costs in returning it to us. Where you are
withdrawing from your purchase within seven working days, we will also refund
the normal postage charge for the delivery of that item.
The cooling-off period?
By law, you also have the right to withdraw from your purchase of an item within
seven working days of the day after the date the item is delivered to you. To
cancel your purchase in this cooling-off period, please fill out the delivery
slip that accompanies your items, giving the reason for the return as "contract
cancellation". Please package the relevant item securely and send it to
us with the delivery slip so that we receive it within seven working days of
the day after the date that the item was delivered to you. The return address
is: Publications, The Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment,
Saracen House, Crusader Road, City Office Park, Tritton Road, Lincoln, LN6 7AS, UK.
For your protection, we recommend that you use a recorded-delivery service.
Please note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the goods
to us unless we delivered them to you in error, or they were faulty. If we do
not receive the item back from you with the delivery slip, we may arrange for
collection of the item from your residence at your cost.
As soon as we receive notice of your cancellation of this order, we will refund
the relevant part of the purchase price for that item together with the item's
normal postage charge. We cannot refund any priority, express or courier component
of the postage charge.
