Data Management Practitioner

Early experience with the UK’s pilot Emissions Trading Scheme has highlighted the importance of careful management and quality control of data; and the need for robust information management systems to minimise uncertainty in reported information, and in the consequential risks and liabilities associated with the trading of emissions’ credits. This Practitioner Guide draws on the experiences of: organisations and companies, verification bodies and accreditation organisations – as well as views from the emissions trading marketplace – to provide good practice guidance on the handling of data for emissions trading and other purposes.
