| Synopsis: | Just over 12 months ago Lantra agreed to take over responsibility for the National Occupational Standards for Environmental Management from Management Standards Centre and is currently leading a project to revise and update these standards. Lantra is working with representatives of Sector Skills Councils (SSCs) and Standard Setting Bodies (SSBs) together with environmental practitioners, associations, providers of qualifications and other bodies to review existing NOS and develop new NOS to provide a comprehensive set of standards for environmental awareness and management which can be used by all sectors. The first stage of this process has now been completed and the NOS for Environmental Managers have been revised. We now need feedback from potential users of these NOS as to their appropriateness and effectiveness. |
