Abstract:

Groundwork Environmental Services was invited by event organisers Jack Morton Worldwide to act as consultants in planning the G8 summit at Gleneagles, advising on improving environmental performance and legislation. As well as advising on Jack Morton Worldwide's activities Groundwork worked closely with the Foreign & Commonwealth Office, who were committed to minimising the environmental impacts of the summit, the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) and Perth & Kinross Council. Gleneagles Hotel, the Police and Scottish Executive were also closely involved.
