Abstract:

This report aims to provide a balanced account of the performance of Thames Water on corporate responsibility issues in 2004 and to present some of the main challenges we will face in the future. It is our thirteenth consecutive annual publication addressing these issues. We have tried to shape the content of the report to meet the needs and expectations of our readers and to respond to recommendations from our verifiers in 2003. We have undertaken a review of corporate responsibility issues of material concern to our stakeholders and future business success - please see pages 7 and 8. These issues are addressed in this report or on our website. In developing this report we have referred to the Sustainability Reporting Guidelines, published by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). We explain on our website how the report aligns to the GRI Guidelines.
