Abstract:

BAA is the world’s leading airport company and has pioneered airport privatisation and retailing. It serves over 133 million passengers at its seven UK airports. In the next 11 years, BAA will invest over £8 billion in its south east airports alone including Terminal 5 at Heathrow. As a result, the challenge of efficient resource use is a high priority for BAA in all its development activities and none more so than at T5, where it has been considered a top environmental priority.
