| Synopsis: | In July 2005 HEFCE published 'Sustainable development in higher education' (HEFCE 2005/28):
http://www.hefce.ac.uk/pubs/hefce/2005/05_28/ which set out their approach to promoting the sustainable development agenda. It contained a strategic statement, a 10-year vision and an action plan until the end of 2007.
This is a consultation on an updated strategic statement and action plan to support HE's contribution to sustainable development. It is structured around the four roles identified for HEFCE in the first sustainable development strategy (HEFCE 2005/28):

The IEMA are planning to provide a response to this consultation. We are seeking comments from our members in order to compile our response. We would be grateful if any member who is interested in responding could send their comments using the consultation response form by email to technical@iema.net by 29 August 2008 (so we can compile our final response in time for the 05 September deadline). Please complete the subject heading of the email with ‘Response to HEFCE consultation’. The consultation document and response form can be found below:
