| Organisation: | SEPA |

| Deadline: | 30 January 2008 |
| Status: | CLOSED Consultation is closed for comments |
| Synopsis: | This is the Phase 1 Pollution Prevention and Control (PPC) charging scheme consultation and seeks your views on proposed amendments to the existing PPC scheme. It proposes amendments to deliver better regulation principles; making charges clearer, correcting omissions, removing inconsistencies and putting in place lower charges for installations which are currently penalised by the inflexibility of existing descriptors. Your responses to this consultation will inform the development of the final scheme, which will be submitted to the Scottish Government for final approval by Scottish Ministers. Subject to approval the revised scheme will be implemented from April 2008. |
