Abstract:In my foreword to the Hartlebury Environmental Statement in 1998, I pointed to Baggeridge Brick’s long record of making concern for the environment a fundamental part of its business strategy. I mentioned in our 1989 publication; ‘Commitment to Environmental Conservation’ and said that this philosophy had been carried forward by a deeply held conviction for the need for industry to play its part in minimising environmental damage, rather than making environmental claims, which are merely window-dressing or token actions .
