IEMA Mentoring Scheme

The IEMA Mentoring Scheme provides support and encouragement to IEMA members wishing to progress to higher levels of membership. IEMA is delighted to be able to offer services of such support, as we continue to strengthen our commitment to the development of our members.

The scheme aimed at Associate members that wish to progress to Full membership. A group of mentors, who are all Full or Fellow members of IEMA, have undertaken the necessary training to ensure they can provide their candidates with the correct support and information.

Mentors are matched with candidates to work together to ensure that the candidates can achieve their agreed goals. There is no time scale allocated to this process, it may take weeks or it may take months, depending on the candidate’s level of knowledge and experience. The mentors are there to support and challenge the candidates to enable them to develop the necessary competence to progress through the membership levels.

This exciting project provides support for those at the lower levels of IEMA membership, to individuals moving into the environmental profession and to those who are isolated in smaller organisations.
