Introduction
IEMA Specialist Interest Groups (SIGs)
Welcome to the IEMA Specialist Interest Group (SIG) discussion forum and web pages.
To support the sharing of knowledge and information and the development of good practice, IEMA has a dedicated arena for IEMA members to share and exchange views and information on a variety of topic areas. At present the Institute has three pilot SIGs (Specialist Interest Groups):
- EMS/Environmental Auditing;
- Environmental Assessment; and
- Sustainability/CSR
but over time it is intended that other SIGs will be developed. Suggest a SIG - e-mail sigs@iema.net.
All active IEMA members now have access to all 3 SIG Groups. In order to access these you will need to register on the website if you have not done so previously.
Already an IEMA member and have a query regarding SIG? - please send an e-mail to sigs@iema.net or phone 01522 540069 and speak to someone in Professional Standards.
The SIGs will each have a dedicated discussion forum area. The discussion fora have been initiated as part of IEMA’s commitment to providing members with information and tools to make a practical environmental difference. The Institute believes that by providing an electronic forum for members to share information, good practice can be developed and shared to the benefit of the environment.
The forum provides an easy and accessible way for Institute members, including those overseas, to share information and discuss ideas. This provides the opportunity for over 10,000 environmental professionals from over 80 countries to share and develop good environmental practice.
