At present, the IEMA has identified three topic areas for SIGs, each of which will operate with agreed aims and objectives. Each SIG has a Steering Group which helps to set the aims and objectives of the group and monitor the discussion. Each of the SIGs has a SIG Administrator (IEMA Staff member), a SIG Steering Group (typically no more than 12 IEMA members) and SIG members (unlimited).

Each IEMA member receives one free registration as part of their annual membership fee. IEMA members can choose which and how may of the groups they would like to join.

Each group is moderated by the IEMA Administrator. The SIG Steering Groups can add new topics for discussion. As a SIG member you can post new threads and respond to questions and discussion items. The working language of the SIGs is English.
