Q:  I can't see the discussion forums

A: You need to be registered to see and post to the discussion forums. When you log in, you will see the forums that you are registered to.

Q: What is a 'hot topic'?

A: Topics with lots of interest will attract many replies. If there are enough replies, i.e. enough apparent interest, the forums will flag it as a 'hot topic'.

Q: What does it mean when a topic is 'locked'?

A: The owner of a topic, or a moderator, can lock a topic to prevent further replies being made to it. This may be done if a topic gets too big, too far off-topic, or has reached a logical conclusion. In general, locked topics will be the exception rather than the norm.
