The European Parliament will vote to formally adopt the revisions to the EIA Directive, as set out in the Lithuanian presidency’s compromise text of December 2013. The revisions are likely to be accepted and as a result the Directive 2011/92/EU will be significantly revised to both strengthen and streamline the EIA process across Europe.

This webinar will ensure members understand what is in the compromise text and the potential implications for EIA practice. IEMA’s Josh Fothergill will provide his analysis and answer member questions in this hour long exclusive webinar.

By attending you will gain an understanding of:

  • how screening and scoping will work under the revised EIA Directive;
  • the changes that will drive growth in market for EIA follow-up & monitoring services;
  • the new environmental topics that are included, and those that did not make the cut; plus
  • how the revised Directive has the potential to both limit and widen the scope of cumulative effects assessment!
