Detailed Description

Our Client is a major UK energy supplier and a leading player in the UK Renewables industry. Further growth in the Renewables business has created opportunities for enthusiastic and entrepreneurial project developers.
These roles are in the Developments Team, which is responsible for progressing a portfolio of onshore, offshore wind and biomass schemes in England Scotland and Wales to the point of construction.
The Developments Team works closely with other functions within the Renewables business that are responsible for seeking out new opportunities, and subsequently constructing and operating them.
Main responsibilities of role
 Seeking new investment opportunities
 Greenfield sites acquisitions.
 Securing planning consents and grid connection agreements.
 Scheme design including managing external consultants.
 Commercial analysis, budget and risk management.
 Formulation of specifications and tender assessment for construction contracts.
 Preparation of capital investment proposals.
Key skill requirements
 Strong analytical, communication and influencing skills.
 The self motivation and drive necessary to succeed within this challenging andexciting sector.
 Excellent project management skills with proven delivery to time and budget.
 Strong team player attributes and commercial astuteness.
 A keen interest in health and safety.
 A current driving licence.

Candidates are expected to have relevant experience and achievement in at least one of the following
 Development of grid embedded generation projects.
 Technical skills, experience relevant to renewable scheme development.
 Commercial deal negotiation and legal, financial close out.
