Our client is looking to recruit a candidate to develop the business in terms of leading edge R&D resource efficiency and waste management projects.

Detailed Description

This is an exciting opportunity to play a significant role in the development of a recently formed team, with chances to support growth and expansion as the business grows and develops, from existing markets to new markets associated with improved standards of resource efficiency expected of clients. Typical work includes, development of guidance policy and strategy in waste management for governmental and private sector clients.

Key Objectives
The principal functions of this position will be to win, manage and deliver environmental R&D projects within the resource efficiency sector, expanding the diversity of revenue streams to include the finance sector, government and commerce.

Key Responsibilities
The priorities of this role include: -
· Developing relationships with internal and external Clients
· Project scoping/costing and producing fee proposals of the highest possible standard
· Delivering a high standard, high quality work for various leading edge R&D projects for customers within the resource efficiency sector
· Helping to lead and shape the ongoing technical growth and development of the waste/resources team
· Providing active support to promote business development activities
· Communicating with Clients on a day to day basis

Job Requirements
The ideal candidate should possess and be able to demonstrate the following skills and knowledge: -
· Excellent knowledge of the resource efficiency R&D agenda for industry, commerce and government (central and local) . Excellent knowledge of legislation, policy and standards at EU and UK levels
· Track record of delivering R&D projects within the RE field
· Excellent communication skills with highly developed report writing skills
· Experience gained within a consultancy environment and evidence of building strong relations with clients
· Valid UK driving licence
