Our client is a global, multi-disciplinery Environmental & Engineering consultancy. They currently have outstanding opportunities for a Principal Land Quality Consultant to join their teams based in Belfast and Birmingham.
They are seeking energetic and innovative candidates who can assist in the identification, planning, bidding, winning and delivery of solutions oriented services to existing and new blue chip clients.
You will be able to demonstrate a history of good experience of the identification, planning, bidding, design and delivery of contaminated land desk studies, site investigations, risk assessment (qualitative and quantitative) methodologies and remediation projects. A good understanding of current UK environmental regulation (including CLEA) is required. A range of land quality experience is neccessary, including gasworks contaminated land, defence, petrochemical, railway and work with utilities and / or water companies. Detailed knowledge of either clients or sectors of the Land Quality market is also expected, as are strong relationships within these clients.
The successful candidate will join existing teams, and be expected to manage project teams and be responsible for the delivery of the final product to the client. You will also be responsible for the reporting of the data collected within the client’s reporting framework, including technical review of report prior to issue to the client. You will work closely with the Land Quality technical leader in identifying, bidding and delivering work programmes for a variety of industrial and defence clients. Excellent computer, written and presentation skills are expected. You will also need to demonstrate a track record in preparation of high quality oral and written communications.
To be successful in this role you will have strong experience, and are likely to have a Masters Degree (or equivalent) in a suitable discipline. We are looking for an excellent understanding of UK contaminated land legislation and processes, not only under the current regime, but also with an eye on future changes and developments and the impact on the environment industry.
