Detailed Description

Joining the Environmental team within Ireland, the role initially involves providing landscape character and visual impact assessment services to strengthen planning and design services with respect to environmental impact assessment and mitigation. The role will also involve the development of landscape and environmental design / management services to meet the needs of both in-house clients and external direct appointments.

You will provide an interface between clients and the team, ensuring that client needs are in a timely, efficient and professional manner. You will also ensure the production of the highest quality outputs to excellent professional standards. This role is an opportunity to play a full part in the development of the business in Ireland, and as such offers excellent career development opportunities for the right person.

You will be MLI (or if coming from abroad the equivalent) along with Auto CAD expertise. Within previous roles you will have had a high level of commercial client experience and will have liaised with Local Planning Authorities and other members of professional services teams. On the technical side you will have a high level of competence with hard and soft landscape design and detailing for both design phase and implementation phase of development projects. A wide experience of project sector types would be an advantage. Major Road Project experience in Ireland or the UK at planning and / or construction stage would be advantageous but not essential. You will be an individual with a focus on delivering high quality work and have ambition for your own professional development recognising the synergy with business development for your professional expertise.

Essential skills / qualifications:

· First degree / post-graduate degree in Landscape Design
· Full member of Landscape Institute (MLI)
· Recognizable amount of specialist experience of Landscape and Visual Assessment and Experience of sustainable landscape projects (desirable)
· Understanding of diverse landscape assessment methodology including GLVIA, CA LCA guidance, DMRB and TAG/STAG.
