Recruiter Profile: National Audit Office

The NAO is the UK's main public sector audit body and Parliament’s independent financial watchdog, holding central government to account for its spending of public money. In the past three years, our work has led to savings to the taxpayer of around £1.5 billion. The NAO’s Environment and Sustainability team produces value for money (vfm) studies on sustainability and a programme of work supporting the Environmental Audit Committee (EAC) in the House of Commons. The team also contributes to the development of sustainability in national and international forums, working alongside the major government and non-governmental organizations in this field.
