EIA Webinars

Registrants to the EIA Quality Mark scheme are not only committed to delivering high quality assessments and reports for their clients, but also actively work to improve practice. The development of a regular monthly EIA webinar series allows a wide range of environmental professionals to learn about different aspects of the EIA process from the comfort of their desk.

A powerful example of the EIA Quality Mark scheme's ability to share knowledge and develop practice is the creation in November 2011 of a monthly EIA webinar. Now held at lunchtime on the last Thursday of every month (apart from in December) these online events attract a regular audience of over 200 members.

The series provides members with the opportunity to ‘listen over lunch' to a different EIA related topic each month. The webinars last for around an hour and include two or three speakers sourced provided by EIA Quality Mark registrants. They provide a great opportunity for members to either learn about different areas of practice or allow the more experienced practitioner to refresh their knowledge.

The webinars are also intended to stimulate debate on different aspects of EIA practice and IEMA uses its LinkedIn page to host such discussions, which can be accessed via www.iema.net/linkedin
