Carbon, GHGs, Foot Printing, Accounting and Management

Within the Sustainable Development agenda, many organisations are seeking to give more focus to the need to address their use of energy and the impact of Climate Change. IPPC stated in 2007 that “Climate change has been identified as one of the greatest challenges facing nations, governments, business and citizens over future decades”. Recently there has been a plethora of guidance on managing GHGs, calculations and carbon footprint calculators. IEMA has developed this syllabus to guide providers in delivering outcomes that enhance overall understanding of this complex issue, highlight appropriate actions, and should support their client’s in meeting the challenge of Climate Change.
