Associate Certificate in Environmental Management

The Associate Certificate is designed to raise the professional competence of environmental practitioners by developing and assessing your knowledge, understanding and application of environmental management and assessment. Successful completion of the certificate results in the award of IEMA Associate membership, which is the essential professional qualification for working in an environmental role.

The standard upon which the Associate certificate course is based was revised in March 2012 and all Associate certificates are now taught to the revised standard. If you are keen to complete the revised associate certificate approach approved training providers to see when they will start to deliver to the revised standard.

Prospective training providers should develop courses to the March 2012 Standard found on pages 5 – 8 of the Associate Entrance Exam Specification using the guidance provided in ‘delivering the associate certificate’ (see right side) and contact training@iema.net for further information and advice.
